Moving a greenhouse

Hello. I’m moving soon and would like to take my tiny 2x2m glass greenhouse with me. It’s quite new, because it’s small cost more than a standard size one and I won’t have the spare cash to buy a new one for a while when I move.

Has anyone done this and how? What do I do with the glass - bubble wrap?

Most important thing (1) to do with glass is to mark every single pane clearly with where it’s meant to go

(1) preventing it from breaking is probably more important Grin

We moved mine last winter. Haven’t actually rebuilt it yet, but it is safely here!

Prior to move date we elected to hire a storage unit for the glass. Mine has safety glass, so not as delicate as horticultural, but still. We removed all the glass, and I cleaned it. Used a sheets of wood to stack it in the garage (one on the floor, one on the wall with glass leaning on it). Once ready it went in the car flat, I think blankets were involved! Then stacked in the storage unit using wood again.

Our removal company was happy to move all the greenhouse, but we just got them to do the frame. We dismantled it partially, so 4 sides and 2 roof parts. It moved no problems.

In future I’d consider letting the removal company move the glass too.
