Will shield bugs hurt runner beans?

I currently have a flourishing runner bean plant in my garden (more by luck than judgement as I’m very new to growing vegetables) and today I spotted a young shield bug on it. Do shield bugs hurt runner beans? The Internet suggests no but last year my plant had woodlice burrowing into the beans which is supposed to be very unlikely so I’m taking nothing for granted 😅

That doesn't look like a shield bug to me but here is a list of different ones, what they look like and what they eat jic yours is.

EDIT - regarding the woodlice, did you have mulch around the base of your beans or nearby? They like rotting vegetation.

I never worry about shield bugs

Thank you. I always assumed the juveniles would be just as flat looking as the adults, rather than rounder bodies like ladybirds. I should know better than that considering juvenile ladybirds are evil/scary looking things.

I don't think I've ever found a juvenile shieldbug considering I see the adults regularly at this house. Perhaps I need to plant some beans 😀
