Apologies for the rubbish photo, it's taken from today's Gardeners world so is a photo from the tv!

Any idea what the lovely spikey tall plant is please? Would look lovely on my patio!

Isn't a parlour palm an indoor plant in the uk?

@Cherryblossom200 I think it is a Chusan palm (trachycarpus fortunei) and they are reasonably hardy outdoors in the UK.

Quite a few garden centres will sell them.
