We have a very small area, about 10m square, which is like to have as lawn. It's south facing but very shaded by trees. The soil quality is poor, it's chalk bed, and it's well drained. I'm not sure whether to try a clover lawn, or camomile or just a regular lawn. No pets to take account of, so if anyone has any advice, that would be great. We're in the SE, so quite mild. Thank you!

Are the trees yours? If they are, you could remove some lower branches to let more light in.

There are types of grass seed specifically for shady area, so that might work.
