Anyone know what these are

These keep appearing in my sand pit anyone any idea what they are as they are giving me the fear lol.

They are small holes…

Looks like water droplets

A bird standing on the wooden edge and sticking his beak into the sand looking for worms?

The irregular shapes, some shallow, look more like something done by water than by an organism to me. Is there an overhanging branch just there maybe?
If not, I'd probably dig out that chunk and check it out of curiosity.

There is a cover over it. I have raked it and had a dig about but can't see anything nasty luckily enough. Just thought someone may know what was causing it.

Condensation from under the cover?

Maybe some condensation formed on that part of the underside of the cover which then fell as droplets.
