Companion plants for stipa

I'm making a new narrowish border and I fancy stipa tenuissima with another plant. I love that green with purple or orange. Can anyone suggest a combination I should look at for wafty loveliness?

Verbina Bonariensis would be lovely.

Alliums, perowskia, eryngium

Exactly what I was thinking. In addition to tenuissima have you tried 'stipa gigantea'?ovely and waft. Also crambe if you ha e space.

Echinacea, achillea, astrantia, verbena

I love verbena bonariensis but I'd like the purply plants to be closer in height to the stipa if possible. I've got a stipa gigantea and love its waftiness. I'll check out those suggestions thank you all!
