I have no idea why. I've not moved it or treated it any differently to I do every year but it's just not flowered. Picture attached. Any offer an explanation? Will it flower next year? I love this bush!

That's strange. Mine has more flowers than ever this year.
Do you give it plant food? I heard you should never do that with hydrangeas as you just get a lot of foliage and no flowers.

Following as mine had only a few tiny flowers this year.

I cut mine back heavily two years ago. Last year it just had foliage, and this year it’s covered in flowers. I assume from that it only flowers on second year foliage. Could that be it?

Mine only had a tiny patch of flowers. I think it’s just been a very bad year growing wise.

I don't recall pruning it vigorously, but it is possible I suppose.

Good to know it might grow back next year. I'll be devastated to get rid of it, but it's taking up a huge part of my tiny garden to not flower!!

@SallyWD no feeding it. Literally changed nothing.

I think it's been accepted as an excellent year for hydrangeas which love wet conditions. Ours have been superb and a hydrangea my mum bought us 15 years ago has flowered this year for thr first time ever.

so op I think it must be down to something else but I can't suggest what, sorry.
