Why does this plant STINK? Photo included

We watered this indoor plant recently, I did exactly as recommended.

The strench from it today is awful...it's a cheesy sicky smell 😳 Ive had to bring it outside!

Any advice?

Check the soil, I found the soil in one of my plants smelt vile so i chucked it

@CornishTeaTime Put it in the shade! It's a house plant and not used to bright sunshine.

Always been in the shade indoors.
I watered it as recommended and 2 weeks later it started to smell. Roots look fine

It needs a much bigger pot. Brush as much of the soil away from around the roots and repot in a bigger pot.
