Been away for a few weeks and have come back to these sorry looking hydrangeas.

Should I leave the flower heads or will cutting them off encourage new flowers??

They probably won't flower again this year, they are a one-hit wonder.

They've just finished flowering, that's all.

They are in need of a good watering! Don't cut the heads off until next spring. They protect the new buds underneath.
