Was out yesterday and mum saw this growing in some rough ground and would like some for her garden. Can anyone identify it please? It's familiar but I can't call it to mind.

Get the free Seek app and then if you photograph it in the app it will tell you what it is...

If you want something closely related but not quite so scrubby, try Dropmore Anchusa. The colour of the blue is spectacular.
