Trampoline on patio

Hello!

We have an area of patio at the bottom of our garden which we hope to put a trampoline for the kids. I’m wary of putting it directly on the slabs but unsure what the most cost effective way is to create a base.

I’ve pulled up one of the slabs and it’s like cement, I have no chance of pulling up. Do you think it would be okay to put bark on top of the core underneath or do we need to dig this up too?

We’ve done just this, with padded sticky back stuff on the legs that can be replaced when it wears out.

When we had a trampoline on the patio we just put pipe lagging foam on the parts touching the patio slabs. Eventually they wear through, but it’s easy to replace.
