Help! Can I rescue this squash?

Novice gardener here. I moved my thriving butternut squash plant at the weekend. Didn’t realise how big they get and it was in a very small space.

It seems I have killed it by moving it. I’ve looked for snails and slugs and can’t find any, but is there any way I can rescue it? Leaves seem to be dying off by the minute. Please help!

Have you moved it from somewhere relatively shady to somewhere in full sun? Might have been a bit much for it if so. You could give it a sunshade for a few days.

I usually say avoid feeding a sick plant, but that looks as if it would like some tomato feed.

Otherwise, keep well watered and keep your fingers crossed.

Oh, and you won't find slugs and snails in the daytime - have a look after dark.

Moved within arms length of the old planter, both south facing, although having said that, it was previously very well shaded by 2 huge courgette plants and now is not. Maybe it does need some shade?

Going on a slug hunt now…!

Do feed it as well. You should then see the new leaves coming healthy and dark green.

Well, I found LOTS of slugs last night!

Plant is looking even more yellow and droopy today. Will try feeding it later but not feeling hopeful.
