My lavatera grew fabulously this year to around 6-7 feet. Covered in beautiful flowers with many buds to follow. Glorious. Then I woke up to find the whole thing horizontal across my grass. Help! I tried picking it up but the main trunk broke away from the base. It’s still alive (just!). I think it was the added excess weight of heavy rain. So….
- what should I do now - prune it all down to the base?
- How do I stop it happening next year?
