Plant identification

I wondered if anyone could help identify this plant please? The leaves are very tall, smell a bit broccoli-like when cut and come from established roots which are a bit knobbly and horseradish-looking.

horseradish. It spreads easily.

It looks a lot like horseradish to me too.

I agree with horseradish. Its roots are the really pungent bit that is grated for sauce. Visually, these leaves are as exciting as the plant gets.

It does spread easily. If you don't want it, dig down to get all the roots out, and repeat every year (every few months) until it's really gone.

Thanks so much everyone! Much appreciated.
