Strawberries

I have a raised bed filled with strawberry plants and I've been eagerly anticipating a nice big bowl of fresh strawberries and cream (Wimbledon season and all that x) . And maybe some jam (if I can work out how to make it).

... But I've just been down to find some, and on first glance - I couldn't see any fruit (my immediate thought was it had been ravaged by thieving greedy bastard fat waddling pigeons) But I've just had a closer look and there are lots of strawbs - they just look really odd... I've attached a picture - any ideas why they're like this?? is there anything I can do???

Google botrytis. It might be that given how wet the summer has been.

Botrytis usually causes the fruits to rot, does it not?

I wondered whether it could be incomplete pollination (poor weather, few insects).
