Is it too late to plant some cosmos seeds outside? I'm in the north!

In a deep planter.

Why not? Maybe start them off indoors if you can move the planter?

I was thinking it's warm enough now to outside? Might be more successful not disturbing roots?

I think that you'd be lucky. Why not buy some plants?

I doubt whether there is time for them to flower and they won't survive the winter. Maybe save the seed for next year. If you have any perennials you like now is a good time to take cuttings.
