We are in the process of purchasing a house. It's been a crazy and an unnecessarily tedious ride and for a while we thought it wasn't happening, but it appears to be back on track. Anyway, the garden is a decent size, it's not huge, not small but big enough for what we need and our dog. A little less than half of the garden is surrounded by a large wall and I'm trying to think of things we could do with it. These pictures are a bit old, since taking them the weeds have been removed, the wall has been repointed and that diagonal bit on the end has been straightened out so it will look nice, but I'm trying to think of the best ways to use it to our advantage. What would you do to make the wall and garden a nice place to sit out? We have a dog so it needs to be dog friendly but no kids so don't need any part of it to be child friendly.

What direction is the wall facing? If south or west facing then you could do all sorts with planting - espalier or fan trained fruit trees under planted with flowers would be lovely. Or you could train climbing roses?

it will be a sheltered space, so one corner might be good for a seating area if that’s something you don’t have elsewhere?
