Wasp on potsc

I have tomatoes growing in pots . One pot ( plastic type) has a crack in the side,
my cat seemed to be very interested in this pot, i then noticed what I think was a wasp coming out of it, this is now a daily ocurance and today I've seen 2 go in the soil after each other.

Can't be sure it's wasps but hopefully someone has any ideaand why would they go into the soil. I'm concerned if a nest is being built do they do this ?

Wasp or bee?

It is probably worth finding out what it is first and then trying to work out if it will be a problem or not.

Or just water it more often, and the bee will go find somewhere else to live. These single bees often make small nests underground and hibernate in there over winter. I have loads in my garden. They are harmless.

Thanks @ AlisonDonut
It looked more like the size of wasps or similar, but I'll try and see but it's by chance I see them and it's so quick so not long enough to identify 100 %
I just don't want a wasp nest in there .
Ps please excuse spelling errors.

Bees and wasps are similar size.

Highly unlikely to be a wasp nest

There are lots of species of solitary wasps and bees in this country. It's these and bumble bees that really need to be conserved.
