Modern Fish Pond ideas

Please help...We're planning a garden redesign and I really want to feature a modern fish pond ....we currently have one that is a little twee, but I love the sound of the waterfall and watching the fish. Do you have any ideas or photos to share?

We are just having a pondless water feature built; so no fish but lovely waterfalls and movement of water. Has lots of different stones as well as a couple of logs and then Japanese acer plus grasses/ferns etc
loads of ideas on Google.

This is our freestanding pond. We don’t have a huge garden but this makes a lovely feature and the waterfall sounds amazing.

Ours is very similar to this. DH did it himself and we are very pleased with it. This is huge but you could do a smaller version.

This is my DHs dream pond! One day!

I've got one of these. I'm interested in your edging. how is that secured to the top? I'm trying to find something to stop my cat fishing that doesn't look ugly. at the moment I have chicken wire over the top.

It’s actaully this … it didn’t really work as it’s meant to so as a temp measure we cut it in half and secured it with black tape and have never replaced it. You can’t really see the tape with it being black.

I can see that now. I've got loads of that that I tried to use floating as intended but didn't like it. I'm off out to buy some black tape and try that - it looks great. Thanks.
