Tips for planting star jasmine?

Decided on star jasmine for my back fence. I’ve ordered a 3l pot which is 120cm in height, and want to plant into the ground which is currently still grass. Any tips? Does it need some trellis or similar to get going? The listing said it self climbs but I wonder if that means once it’s established? Undecided whether to plant centrally, or to one side and perhaps add a second one if I don’t get the spread I’d like.

It self-climbs up a trellis, though you might have to encourage it by twining in the longest stems at first. Worth planting one to the side. They want to go up rather than out. I'm in Melbourne, where they grow much faster than in the UK, but I still put two in to get the coverage.

Sorry, I've just seen the size of the pot! Spread out the stems sideways, winding into the trellis. I'd still do two though.
