Got this fully grown adult lady last week, soaked her, repotted her, fertilised her. She perked a bit then deperked majestically.

Have pruned a bit. Is she dying - can I chop her right down by way of rescue. Do I leave her to a midlife crisis and hope for the best.

Thank you so much for any thoughts.

I wouldn’t fertilise immediately after repotting. Let them recover from the repotting first. That won’t be the problem though.

keep herin the shade and spray water on her leaves, see if that helps

How big is she? Where does she live? I never re pot shrubs straight away, leave them a couple of weeks to acclimatise, lots of water,no feed no pruning. As you have done it all,you will have to wait and see. Is she shaded from the mid day sun?

She was unearthed from a garden in SW4, abandoned for 2 days in carrier bag, rescued by me and then soaked for three hours. Potted up in 30 cm container. Took
the broken branches off.

She cheered briefly and is now very droopy drawers.

When I've had that happen to me it always looks as if they died. But they are putting their energy into their roots instead of their leaves so hopefully next spring she will sprout new growth and recover.

How much have you pruned her and how big was she? What i would do if she's over 3ft then cut down to 1.5 to 2 ft, over 2ft then cut to 1ft etc. Did you use a fertiliser for flowering or new leaves?

Brilliant. Many thanks.

Potted in miracle gro
and all-purpose fertilizer.

On the upside, Aldi seeds.

Inside the cat?

I'm not sure where my eye is drawn to the most - kitty or the plants behind 😂

Yikes. She’s right at the back, near where that ginger beauty pees illegally. NW facing urban environment.

I was showing off a bit re plants cos I’m a complete amateur and penniless to
boot. But people come up to me to praise the eruption of green so 🌱 stirs in my heart.
