Looks like petty spurge which I would consider a nuisance ans like all in euphorbia family has sap that can cause photo sensitivity with sunlight

Agree that it's spurge. It's a really common weed that spreads its seeds by shooting them all over the place. Pull it up before it flowers to stop it doing that.

Yes, petty spurge, Euphorbia peplus, an annual. So those particular plants will be gone by next year, leaving behind plenty of seeds for next year. Yours is in flower, so that’s as good it gets. Worth getting a magnifying glass on to those flowers, very interesting structure.

Thank you everyone for identifying this as it is plaguing my garden.

I also have photosensitivity reactions to euphorbia (which are grim, dramatic and took years to resolve) so will make sure I only handle it with gloves on.

Oooh. Thank you all. I'm glad, I wanted to pull it up but then I feel guilty in case it's something nice!
