I have tried to grow a lavender plant in a pot numerous times with no luck! I put it in full sun and keep it watered but not soaking.
what am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Don't water it for a few weeks. That worked for me! Lavender is native to scrubland and dry conditions. Unlike this country (if that is where you are).

Neglect it and it will love you.

They want poor soil & little water - so don't feed, repot in fancy compost or water it much.

It's needs less water than you think it does it's drought resistant and prefers fulll sun if possible

Yep. Mediterranean plant. Don’t over water.

sadly I do not live in the UK where I have seen the most beautiful lavender! We’re on east coast US where it gets into the 90’s in summer. I love it so I will keep trying! Thanks for your help!

In that case, you may get on with French lavender, Lavendula stoechas. But it may not like your winters.

Actually our winters are fairly mild except for a few cold spells. I’ve never seen gardens near me with thriving lavender plants although they are available in some garden centers. We have a large covered porch which might be an option.
I appreciate everyone’s advice 😊 I will continue to bring pots of lavender home and hope for the best!
