Small tall tree - what is it?

Gift. Just staggered home after cab driver went hysterical cos it’s 10 ft high.

I thought it would be pot plant 😀

Any ideas? Suggestions gratefully received.

It’s in the bath in water cos its pot was horribly dried out. Can I leave it overnight? Soaking or damp? Thanks again.

Leaf. Now in 40 litre pot with fresh compost and heavily watered.

I think it’s a houseplant - a variegated Ficus.

I'd say it was variegated Ficus Benjamina too.

I would’ve said a Pittosporum too, this one or similar

If it is, it will happily live outside, and probably become rather large. Can be pruned hard though

Still think Pittosporum, they are naturally bushes but can be pruned/trained into a tree shape.
