Hi, is this a weed? If so, what type of weed is it? Thanks.

It looks like a budleia to me, pretty flowers but they can get very big and need cutting back hard in the autumn

I say buddlea as well. A shrub.

Butterflies and bees love them

It’s a plant; weeds are by definition plants. Looks like a buddleia. Some people consider them a weed., others pay to acquire them.

If you're happy with its current location, let it grow & flower this year to see what's like (colour, size) - you can always move it if necessary. But they are fantastic plants for pollinators & are pretty bomb proof, but can get very big & unruly if left unpruned.
