9cm plants or 2ltr

Hi all
I lost some plugs due to slugs. I currently have my borders to fill I have Nepeta in there just after some salvia and scabious. Am I better off getting a set of 3 9cm pots or getting a larger size plant and maybe dividing it? Just thinking a larger plant will be a stronger one don't want to risk them getting destroyed again

I know the smaller ones will take more time to become established. I don't mind the border having little gaps but at the mo it's very bare

Thanks

I would go for three of the 9cm. Have had much better results this way with various plants as regards filling gaps than splitting a bigger one.
If the slugs are going to eat something it seems to get eaten regardless.

Choose by the size of plant, not the size of the pot. They often put small things in big pots and hike the price up.
