Hi all

I have lost my plug plants due to slug damage this year. I need to replace with a few 9cm perennials. The only places I have near me are Thompson's which are ridiculous prices and a Morrisons which are no good with Thier garden selection. Home bargains is to far and b&m don't really have the plants I'm after. I do have a Dobbies kind of near me, never been there are they any good? I'm In Bexley for reference

Loads of place now deliver if you order online. Ours have always arrived in excellent condition

Is there B&Q near you? Tesco? Asda? Lidl and aldi have various plants- but depends what you want?

I've ordered plants from suttons and they arrived well packaged and are still going strong. There was a similar thread a few months ago and several people said to avoid Parkers online- because the plants arrived dried out and dead.

I'm sure Dobbies would have loads of choice if you want to buy plants in person, I've been to a few and they've all been decent.

If possible, take a trip to Crews Hill in Enfield. It's about an hour on the M25 from Bexley. Choose a sunny day, it will make a lovely day out!

Ruxley Manor Garden Centre is only about 10 min drive from Bexley. Or Sidcup B&Q just off crittalls corner roundabout.

Local market? There are usually plant stalls at most markets.

Polhill is a good one, not too far from you

Currently one of the biggest concentrations of garden centres in Europe, apparently! You'll be spoilt for choice!

Or down the road is Clockhouse Nursery near Forty Hill, which is really good value and has great quality plants too.
