Hi all, had this plant from tiny. Repotted about 3 times now. It seems to just be getting bigger and now I think lacking support so wilting and growing sideways? Please help - I have 0 idea when it comes to plants and I'm really surprised I've managed to keep this one alive How can I help it grow 'upwards'? Or is this normal for it to grow out? Any advice welcomed!

The pot is really small. I would repot it again. These can grow really large - like a small bush size!

It’s Crassula ovata (jade plant), a succulent plant native to South Africa. It might be leaning towards the light on your windowsill as these plants require maximum light. Which might also be why it appears to be wilting, it probably isn’t, but just the weight of the longer branches. Give it more light if that’s possible, and it should grow more compact, and don’t overwater it.

You could just clip a bit off each branch, that's what I do. Mine is massive where I've kept repotting it. It can stay in its large pot now I have no more room for it to grow anymore 😂

Thank you all! No idea they could grow this big (or even bigger)! I bought it from the £1 shop last year, it was tiny😂
