What are these small fragrant white flowers?

I pass them on my way to work, they grow on a small tree, I think, that rises above the fence of someone’s back garden. The blossomed a few weeks ago and some of the petals have dropped but this maybe because of the absolute downpour we had yesterday. Their scent is sweet but not overpowering.
