Holly blight?

Is this Holly Blight, or something else?

I bought the plant from the garden centre clearance corner last year. At the time it was quite yellow and I thought it was just overwatered and needed iron. However it has never really greened up, and now has black spots.

I don’t know whether to treat with fungicide, or just get rid?

@JustPleachy Is it still in a pot with the same soil, or have you planted it in the ground? Sorry, can't tell from the photos. Was it a named variety?

Thanks @DrJonesIpresume

I potted it up in a new pot when I got if, thinking it was just lacking nutrients and would recover. It’s a Nelly Stevens.

I'd cut off and dispose of all the worst affected leaves, check it all over for pests such as scale insects, diseases on the branches such as canker, and treat or remove affected parts. Then treat it with a suitable fungicide and give it a seaweed & sequestered iron tonic, followed up with a dose of Growmore or similar a month later. Then cross your fingers!

Thank! I’ll give that a try. I did the iron previously but it made no difference, but will try all the others too. I’ll report back with progress 🙂
