Think it might be a weed but what is it as it's rather beautiful

Purple toadflax. Lovely and self seeds everywhere.

It's a native wild flower, and good for bees and butterflies. You can buy pink ones in garden centres.

Don't let it get near your gutter. It will never leave.

Ooh , I've got some of this, I didn't know what it was and have been waiting to see if it flowers to see if I'm keeping it or not.

It seeds itself in my garden too, and I love it, though you do have to keep on top of its many seedlings.
