I planted up a new bed last year and included some white narcissus bulbs as I love them. I knew one bag of bulbs was early flowering and one was late. I saw the late ones start flowering a few days ago (shady-ish part of garden in north of England).
Well, I was out doing a bit of weeding and smelled the most fantastic fragrance and it turned out to be these narcissus - Pheasant’s Eye or Narcissus poeticus. They have been a lovely surprise. I want more for near the front door now.
