Do you mulch your seedlings before planting out?

Going to plant out seedlings soon, fingers crossed that frost risk has passed.

Plants are drying out quite quickly now that it’s so warm and I wonder if I should consider a light mulch? Does anyone do this and what do you use?

No. You just have to keep them watered.

If they are in quite small cells then you could use a mister, you don't want them too wet either.

Bit the bullet and planted lots of stuff out yesterday!

I’m still resisting temptation. From bitter experience I absolutely do not trust the weather not to turn cold again, and I like my seedlings to be young plants before they go out to reduce the risk of them getting eaten/squashed by the wildlife.
