Can anyone identify this plant please?

Hello, I would be really grateful if anyone could tell me what this plant is. It doesn't seem to have much stability and I wonder if it is meant to be one of those plants that sort of trails out of a pot instead of standing up straight?

I am not sure what to do with it. I could plant it in a bigger pot and put it outside or I could plant it in the ground.

It's a type of Tradescantia and a trailing plant, so you don't need to support it.

Also it's not hardy so a house plant, though it could go outside for the summer.

Definitely tradescantia. I spent my school holidays potting tradescantia cuttings at the local nursery where I was obsessed with spending time with their plantsman Jim. Bless him he was very patient with the rather odd teenager that liked propagating plants and was more interested in nature programmes than the stuff the other girls.
i wanted to be a market gardener, still fascinated by propagating things now.
