Tulips bulbs

I planted some tulip and daffodil bulbs in pots this year, I would like to transfer these bulbs into the front garden for the next year. Do I need to take the bulbs out of the pots and store them away until next year or can i just plant them straight into the ground now?

You can plant them straight away but the tulips are less likely to do well.

I dig mine up and store them until October then plant them.

Some will come up the following year but not all of them. And not all of them will flower.

Definitely best to try and store if you can.

Daffodils I'd just plant straight out.

If the leaves are still green then plant them now so they get some energy. They might not do very well the first year but should be fine after.

If they have already fully died back I'd be tempted to store.

Thank you @Definitelylivedin and @RedToothBrush. I can attach a picture of the tulips

Cut the flower stems to stop any energy going to making seeds and plant them out.
