Can anyone tell me if this is a weed or something I should let grow? Thanks!

It’s creeping buttercup. Pretty yellow flowers but it does spread everywhere

Thank you!

I find it best not to let get too out of control as it can form a thick mat. It tends to get squeezed out if you plant fairly thickly with other stuff. Mulching the soil helps discourage it.

It’s not as pretty as Meadow Buttercup.

If you want to get rid, I find a fork is best. An actual kitchen fork I mean, not a bigger hand fork or big spadey-fork.

The kitchen fork gets right under the rosette and twangs out all the roots.

I got it out yesterday. The roots on it were pretty impressive - I could see where it was already creating new shoots. It was harder to get out than I expected!!
