Question about my amelanchier tree

Hi all

I have a decent sized amelanchier tree new to the garden, I have made it a little bit of a feature by putting a round border around it. Within that I wanted to put some plants, I started off with hardy geraniums but then I remembered it has eracious compost as that's what the tree likes so I can't have geraniums there, I am trying to look up what bedding plants cope with eracious compost but I'm not having much luck, any ideas? Or if you have under planting with your amelanchier what plants have you used? Thank you

Hardy geraniums will be fine with that.

Inhave hardy geraniums, lupine and foxgloves around mine.

Our garden has acidic soil and geraniums love it.

Hargy geraniums and, in the summer, I sometimes let the sweetpeas scramble up it - both the tree and peas have been fine with that.
