Camellia

Help please.
I planted a camellia 3 years ago but it is not thriving.
I planted it in the correct ericaceous soil.
It has yellow leaves and buds that haven't opened yet.
It is clearly unhappy.
I know I can add nitrogen fertiliser but I read that needs to be applied after flowering.
It hasn't flowered yet so advise me please what can I do to help it along.
Thank you in advance.

You can get Ericaceous feed from a garden centre, which you can apply throughout the season. I give mine a good mulch of compost every year, and and feed with the camellia feed. It's on a south facing boundary. It sounds as though yours is a mineral deficiency?

I've got a vague recollection of this sort of question on Gardener's question Time, and them mentioning a copper deficit, but don't quote me on that. Maybe take a photo of it to your GC when you go, they should be able to help. Camellias are so beautiful. Good luck.
