I picked it up for free last spring at a plant swap event. I have it in pink like this and white. It's flowering again which I didn't expect and I I'd like to plant more. What is it?

Thanks wise ones

Is it dianthus?

ElizabethVonArnim · 19/04/2024 20:59

I think it might be sea thrift.

Sea thrift?

Armeria (thrift)

Thrift (armeria maritima) grows wild on sea cliffs in some parts of the UK, and it makes a good rockery plant. You can get white ones too.

It is in the same family as Dianthus (pinks, carnations, sweet William), and the wild one is known as Sea Pink.
