What is this plant please?

I can’t remember whether it’s one I put in or one that just appeared by itself. Strawberry plants and a geranium next to it.

Not sure what the plant is, but how do you stop the snails from eating your strawberries? They look untouched!

The strawberry plants are a bit of a weed, to be honest. I put them in as an experiment but never get any strawberries (the birds and probably the slugs eat them). They do battle with the creeping yellow buttercup though, which I appreciate.
