Would I get away with “early spring” pruning now?

Thinking Hydrangea and Sambuca and assuming early means March.

How much have they grown already?

Sambucus. Sambuca is the drink

How much cutting back do you want to do?

I've already pruned my hydrangeas. I only cut back the old heads back to the new shoots.

I don't generally prune sambucus. But it's shooting well, so I'd say it's fine.

Hydrangea limelight has shooted a little - not sure about the “Sambucus”.😊
