Trying to decide whether it’s worth saving.

Is it crocosmia?

I think the groups of leaves in a flattish arrangement look more like iris than crososmia.

Could be Byzantine gladiolus, I agree it doesn't look like crocosmia

Are there any signs of flower spikes?

Crocosmia is in the iris family and has the same flattish arrangement of leaves. Could be one of the bigger Crocosmia varieties like “Lucifer”. if Crocosmia, it will flower in late summer.

Gladiolus is also Iris family.

It could be an Iris. Or crocosmia/ montbretia

You've got to keep it now till it flowers, OP!

I put the photo on my Picture This app and it said it was Field Gladiolus - a type of gladioli

No labels nearby, I pulled it out of a bed I'm replanting, hopefully, it will flower and the mystery will be solved...I'll update when something more exciting happens to it.😁

I think the Iris is the winner?
