Retaining walls crumbling - cheap solutions?

We have raised beds/ borders that are held in place against fences by concrete or brick retaining walls. When we’d moved in 14 years ago, they’d very much seen better days, but now they’re staring to bow and crumble.

They're all established and well planted, so I don’t want to lose the plants whilst whatever work is done, and also don’t want to do a full landscape job. We just need the soil to be contained and preserve the plants and spend the minimum. Red definitely have to get someone in, neither DH nor I have the skill!

What do you think my solutions could be please?

How about gabions filled with the material from the existing retaining walls?

I hadn’t thought of gabions, thank you. Any idea how to retain the soil whilst installing the gabions?
