Hello all, wondering if I am too late to try and grow antirrhinum/snapdragon from seed now? Also if I do plant some out, do they self seed? Thank you Smile

No, fine to start from seed now. But I think they don’t flower till their second year. Someone may correct me on that, it’s at least 20 years since I’ve grown them

I started some off at the weekend, should be OK.

It's the perfect time, and I see no reason they won't flower in the first year.

I'm sowing some this weekend.

i’ve down some and they’ve germinated in the green house. They are tiny seeds, so pricking them out won’t be fun, i should’ve sown them with sand or popped them in the soil with a toothpick one by one .

Thanks all, gonna give them a go this weekend. @Cuppa2sugars I will use your toothpick trick!

I think mine used to flower in the first year, but it's also been a while, and I grew them somewhere with a long hot dry summer and where they grow in the wild, it may be different in other climates.
