I have an area of the garden which is heavy, dense clay soil.
the plants that are doing well are roses, peonies, acer, Aruncus, rose campion, hydrangea, lupins. I planted rudbeckia & echinacea but they haven’t come back.
any idea of what else I can plant? I’ve added in some clematis this weekend so we will see how that lasts! Would like some nice colour in them in the summer - perennials would be best!
