What can I put in pots right now?

With the nice weather I'm looking to sort out some pots I have sitting around and would like to plant some bedding plants - what can I plant that will see me right through the summer months or am I being too ambitious?
I have very little gardening experience 🤣
Thanks in advance

I’m not very good at gardening but I’m vaguely under the impression that you can plant dahlia tubers around now and have flowers by summer. Or at least, I’m hoping to do that

It’s too early for bedding plants, but quite a few garden centres and DIY stores are reducing planted spring bulbs which you could put into your pots for the time being.
I got a planter of about 7 poorly performing hyacinths reduced to £6. I put them in my boarders and they’re now blooming and looking healthy. Plus I’ve a lovely pot to reuse.
Yesterday I got two pots planted up with polyanthus and small daffs for 89p each, at Homebase. The daffs have flowered, but they’re bulbs for next year. The polyanthus are looking good.
