Very unhappy dwarf mulberry- any ideas?

I planted a dwarf mulberry bare rooted last year. It’s just coming into leaf and they are all yellow. It’s in a big plastic pot and I thought it might be water logged but when I drilled more holes in the soil came out damp but not really wet. I’ve just mulched it with manure but I’m thinking it might need something more specific? Any advice?

Some fruit trees have young leaves that are paler than the matured leaves. They will probably darken as they mature.
The good thing is that it is producing new leaves. Just make sure it’s well watered.

Ah thanks. I did wonder if it was some sort of yellow leaf version as the leaves look healthy enough but the wrong colour- but I couldn’t see any photos of yellow mulberry bushes . That’s hopeful that it might sort itself out. I’ve put manure round it- is it worth getting a liquid feed so you think? . It can’t help but be well watered - it’s not stopped raining for months!

My dwarf mulberry is coming up to two years old and is doing the same, it's incredibly healthy though! Yours might not do the same as mine because mine is in the ground but my 'dwarf' grew from 50cms to over 2.5m last year!

As you’ve manured it, I wouldn’t feed it yet. The rain will wash nutrients out. Wait till there’s blossom and then feed to help the development of fruit.

Thank you both- I’ll leave it alone!
