Hi, I have a large 40cm pot that I'd like to grow strawberries in. I've seen bare root plants available online cheaply that I am looking to order? How many plants would I need for a 40cm pot please?

They don't like to be crowded. 2 to 3 plants for a pot 12-14 inches diameter.

14 inches = 35.56

I grow one in each 20cm pot, so strictly in terms of the ratio of areas, 4.

Online bare-root ones probably aren't going to be very big, so maybe order a few extra. I reckon you could get 6 in a planter that size, because it is deeper as well as wider.
