Just that really. I've sown (in an indoor propagator) lupins, cosmos, basil, mallow, and cornflowers. What seeds have you sown this weekend, and what are you most excited to try growing from seed in your garden this year?

Cornflowers too here plus Cherry Rose Nasturtiums which I grow in memory of my old cat Cherry, plus they are a gorgeous colour

LightandAiry · 24/03/2024 17:57

I am a beginner. Planted tomatoes indoors and courgettes.....my late Dad was a fantastic tomato grower and I hope they make an appearance soon.

Imicola · 24/03/2024 18:01

Squash and leeks in the greenhouse, and asparagus pea indoors. The asparagus pea is this year's experiment. Last year i did cucamelons but didn't think they were worth growing again! My tomatoes have their first true leaves now, and the peppers and aubergines have already germinated.

Coastalcreeksider · 24/03/2024 18:13

Cosmos, currently in the utility room as don't have greenhouse and tomatoes.

Harrysmummy246 · 24/03/2024 18:16

I'm being very restrained as we go away for two weeks next weekend so nothing 😭

I've got some to do at work this week though - basil, coriander, parsley, sunflowers

Quitelikeacatslife · 24/03/2024 18:16

In greenhouse today planted cosmos, sweet peas, courgette, broad beans and some chives, excited!

PumpkinSly · 24/03/2024 20:37

Ooh, lots of inspiration! I need to get some parsley and coriander seeds tomorrow.

@Imicola what are asparagus peas? I've never heard of them. I'm guessing peas that taste of asparagus?

Did my peas, bean, peppers and chilli peppers, re potted my tomatoes. Chives have started to grown again, did my potatoes a few weeks ago.

PutASpellOnYou · 24/03/2024 20:42

Various tall airy flowers that sway in the wind, got the seeds online from a specialised seed place, can't remember the names off hand but got the idea from a Claus Dalby YouTube video.

mrsbyers · 24/03/2024 20:42

Tomatoes , chillis and peppers in the house under grow lamp

Leeks , broccoli , cabbage x 2 types , Brussels in the greenhouse now

Just got an allotment so busy planning beds etc and busy weekend planned

StrawberryThief1930 · 24/03/2024 20:52

also nothing as I'm about to go on holiday. i have all my seeds ready to go! hope everything won't be too late.

on the plus side, i planted some new box hedge and border plants. hoping they can be busy getting established whilst im away.

Pottingup · 24/03/2024 21:03

Tomatoes, chillies, cosmos, zinnia and marigold seeds inside and I planted dahlias which are now in pots in the greenhouse and put in some lilies. I potted on some more zinnia and cosmos and some rudbeckia and echinacea. Wish I had more window sills.

Imicola · 24/03/2024 21:07

@PumpkinSly not too sure! They look weird, a but like frilly mini cucumbers on the packet, and apparently taste mildly of asparagus. We shall see!

LarchFairy · 24/03/2024 21:17

Not seeds but Canna tubers that I dug up in the autumn. They look like they have a growth tip. Also some begonia tubers.

ComingtoKent · 24/03/2024 21:18

Basil, parsley, busy Lizzie, black eyed Susans, coleus, sweet peas and stocks - all on a sunny windowsill except sweet peas, which are in the greenhouse,

TheCatOnMorrisseysHead · 24/03/2024 22:55

Sunflowers!

GameOfJones · 25/03/2024 07:39

Sunflowers, dwarf french beans, tomatoes and courgettes. My chilli plants are also doing well.
