Keeping an echinacea away from slugs/snails?!

I adore these and have bought one a year for the last few years only to have it gobbled within a week! I’ve put it in the ground and in a pot, but don’t seem to have much luck!

Is there anything else I can try-aside from slug pellets and copper tape?

Or do I give up and stop buying this particular brand of expensive snail dinner!

I have had success keeping snails away from my hosta (in a pot) with a combination of copper tape and a generous bed of eggshells around it.

Have you tried horticultural sand. Sprinkle around area and on plant leaves. It’s also good for soil. Would also recommend a pond to introduce amphibians in garden.
